In face of the recent protests and looting, We are South Africans, a civil society organization formed in 2007 from its Facebook page, has moved to help the people of South Africa. The #SPIRITOFSOUTHAFRICA campaign was then started in order to help bring food to the destitute rural towns of KZN and the cities affected by the looting.

RE/MAX offices in Gauteng have joined forces with We are South Africans to provide drop off points for any South Africans who want to drop off extra food and supplies to be delivered to those who require assistance in KwaZulu Natal.

South Africans are encouraged to drop off whatever food supplies they can, such as rice, flour, tinned foods, baby formula, and pet food at one of the following RE/MAX offices:
